Rajiv Gandhi Research Assistant to Legislators Program: Call for applications

ORGANIZER: Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies (RGICS), a national policy think tank, promoted by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Program provides a unique opportunity to the young graduates to assist the Members of Parliament in their legislative work.


RGICS is inviting applications for the 1 year full time  Rajiv Gandhi- Research Assistant to Legislators (RG-RALs) Program.


The interested candidates can send their Resume & Statement of Purpose to rals@rgics.org latest by May 6, 2012.


  • An Indian citizen; maximum 25 years of age*
  • Bachelor’s degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Mathematics or Physical and Life Sciences with an outstanding academic record and exceptional leadership qualities and achievements.
  • Proven excellent research, analytical and communication skills (written and spoken, in English).
  • Past experience in policy work/published articles would be highly desirable.

STIPEND: Fixed monthly token stipend of Rs. 10,000/-


DURATION AND LOCATION: The RG-RALs will be required to work full time for a period of one year, based in New Delhi.
