  1. I am pursuing B.A. Economics hons at Delhi University (2nd year ). I wanted to apply for the internship at Directorate General of Foreign Trade in 2013 during my summer break (mid may 2013 to july 2013) or this year-2012 winter break (december 2012). I will be really grateful if you could please let me know how to apply and which is the best time to apply for the same.
Since I am an Economics student I am really interested and keen on doing this internship.

    1. Dear Shashwati

Thanks for your query. Considering the fact that they only have 10 slots at a time, I suggest you to apply for the winter break as there is a possibility that the slot might not be available in summer as everyone flocks for internship in summer vacations. It might be difficult securing an internship that time.

      best
      Vivek

  2. Dear Knowledge Steez Team,

I have pursued my Btech in Mechanical Engineering got placed in campus interview & did a 3.5 years stint as a Design Engineer in a reputed MNC.

I left my job in February 2012, came to Delhi, qualified Civil Services Prelims (CSAT-2012) & have just written my Mains examination & am expecting a “positive result”.

I am highly interested in pursuing an internship at a Ministry of India office as it will help me build my profile for a probable Civil Services Interview.

The problem is, currently I am not enrolled in any of the post-graduation programs, so I cannot fetch a recommendation letter from HOD/institution.

Can I still apply for this DGFT internship as in the proforma they have asked for the recommendation??

Also, can you advice/guide me “any” ministry/govt. office for any such short term internship

Wishing your team all the best.
