The National Law University, Delhi is pleased to announce one year LL.M. programme in Competition Law and Market Regulation in collaboration with Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Applications are hereby invited for the academic year 2015-16 commencing from August, 2015.
NLUD, established in 2008 by Act No. 1 of 2008 is premier Law University established in the capital city of India. It offers courses at undergraduate, post graduate and doctorate level. The primary mission of the University is to create lawyers who will be professionally competent, technically sound and socially relevant, and will not only enter the Bar and the Bench but also be equipped to address the imperatives of the new millennium and uphold the Constitution of India.
Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) is a premier institution established by Government of India. It is established to act as a Think-Tank to advise Government; take up action research; and establish partnerships with other Universities, educational and capacity building institutions and think tanks for sharing of knowledge expertise and taking up joint programmes for capacity building.
NLUD-IICA Joint LL.M Programme of one year in Competition Law & Market Regulation is the first of its kind LL.M. Degree Programme in Competition Law in India. The objective of this programme is to develop professionals ready to take up competition law and market regulation practice. It is designed to train participants with diverse backgrounds including legal practitioners, government officers, officers working in Regulatory Authorities, officers from PSUs, private sector, and talented fresh graduates to provide a holistic approach to practice of competition law and market regulation. The pedagogy will be based on a mix of academicians and practitioners with practice oriented approach towards the Course. Various teaching methods will be used to train participants optimally in this programme. A high quality study material prepared by law and economics professionals will also be provided. Customised training programmes will also be conducted by IICA in association with NLUD for students under this programme.
LL.M (One year) Eligibility:
LL.B. or an Equivalent Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). The candidates appearing in final LL.B. examination in April/May, 2015 can also apply.
