RGNUL National Book Review Writing and Case Comment Competition 2016

Organized by Literary & Debating Committee Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab ABOUT THE RGNUL, PUNJAB Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law Punjab Act, (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). The Act incorporated a University of Law of national stature in Punjab, thereby fulfilling the need for a Centre of Excellence in legal education in the modern era of globalization and liberalization.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION Literary and Debating Committee (LDC), RGNUL is pleased to announce its 1st National Book Review and Case Comment Competition. This event will test your analytical skills and prowess in reviewing a book and Landmark Cases. We agree that every book and Case has multiple facets, but for the purposes of this competition, only the legal analysis will be taken into account. Rules and Guidelines for the Competition

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA The Competition is open to the students who are pursuing their B.A.LLB./LL.M./Ph.D. or any other Undergraduate or Master courses (other than Law) in any university.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES  Participants can choose any one book for Book Review or any one case for Case Comment.  Authors can send the entries for both Book Review and Case Comment simultaneously.  The Book Review and Case Comment must be written in English.  Only one submission each for Book Review and Case Comment is allowed per author. (Submissions both as co-author and single will be treated as multiple submissions. In case of such submissions the single submission will be rejected and disqualified as an entry to the competition)  Co-authorship to a maximum of two authors is permitted. In case of co-author separate Registration Form shall be sent for each.  Only original Book Reviews and Case Comments will be considered for the competition. No part of it should have been published earlier nor should it be under consideration for publication or a contest elsewhere. Moreover any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification. University will not be responsible for the act of plagiarism.  Identification mark must not be found in any part of Book Review and Case Comment.  Registration form must be sent along with Book Review and Case Comment in soft and hard copy.
