About Election Commission Of India (
The Election Commission of India is an autonomous constitutional authority responsible for administering election processes to Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, state legislatures, and the offices of the President and Vice President in India. The Election Commission operates under the authority of Constitution, and subsequently enacted Representation of the People Act. The Supreme Court of India has held that where the enacted laws are silent or make insufficient provision to deal with a given situation in the conduct of elections, the Election Commission has the residuary powers under the Constitution to act in an appropriate manner.
About the Internship:
The selected candidates will be attached to one of the several divisions of Election Commission of India. Students will be required to work on research or management oriented projects/ assignments related different aspects of electoral management and democratic process.The interns support professional of the concerned Divisions by carrying out delegated tasks the process, they are exposed management to the unique erection framework and functionalities. Also towards the end of the internship candidates are also required to submit a project of the assigned work.
The  internship are offered for the following division:

  • Judicial (Election Laws)
  • Information Technology
  • Media and Communication
  • Election Management
# of Internships available: 14
Who can apply:
  • Applicant should be pursuing studies for Graduate degree/Post Graduate /post-Graduate Diploma or Research Student in a recognized institution.
  • Applicant should be excellent Knowledge in spoken and written English or Hindi or other languages is a plus.
