ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Intellectual Property Rights are essential for emerging technology. GCIPR is organising a one day workshop on Intellectual Property Laws for the Traditional and the Internet Based Businesses. This is organised by GNLU Centre for Intellectual Property Rights in collaboration with the US Embassy and Microsoft Chair for IPR, GNLU. This is a unique opportunity for dynamic stakeholders like entrepreneurs, IP professionals, academicians and students. It is in two stages, first being a special lecture by a distinguished American IPR Attorney, Mr. Hillel Parness; followed by a Panel Discussion on “Interface between Intellectual Property Laws and the Internet with Particular Reference to Internet Based Businesses”. The aim of the panel discussion is to learn about the developing branch of various IP laws with special reference to traditional & internet based businesses in today’s technology driven society.

Eligibility: The Workshop is open to the following groups of people:

(a) Entrepreneurs/IP Professionals :  500

(b) Academicians & Ph.D. Scholars :  300

(c) Students :  150

(d) GNLU students : 100
