NEW DELHI: At least 10 people were injured in a grenade blast in Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, ANI tweeted on Saturday.
Two of the injured people were seriously injured, and had to be taken to a Jammu hospital.
Poonch district lies to the north of Jammu, and shares a boundary with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The blast occurs more than a month after the killing of Burhan Wani by Indian security forces, which sparked violent protests in the districts of the Kashmir Valley.
Poonch borders the Kashmiri districts of Baramulla, Budgam, and Kulgam.
More details are awaited.
