Symbiosis College of Nursing (SCON)

SCON was established in the year 2007 with an aim to create leaders in the nursing profession by providing unique, innovative programme that are responsive to the market needs. The college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai. The programme offered by the college ensure numerous career avenues for a graduate and post graduate nurse in the healthcare industry across the world. Symbiosis Collegeof Nursing thus aims to create a benchmark in nursing education in India. The overall aim of nursing programme is to prepare a Graduate Nurse to work as frontline worker in the clinical and community field and educational arena.

Conference Theme

A Midwife is recognized as a responsible and accountable professional, who works in partnership with women to give necessary support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and postpartum period. But the practice needs to be evaluated periodically for being scientifically sound and evidence based, and whether in-touch with the latest and cost effective techniques for the client and for the nation at large. In order to achieve this, Symbiosis College of Nursing is conducting a National Conference on Nov 28 & 29, 2016 on Reinforcement of Midwifery Services – Recent Advances in Maternal and Neonatal Care.


The participants attending the Conference will be able to reinforce their knowledge and skill with the recent advances taking place in the field of Midwifery practice.

Guidelines for submission of Paper Presentation

Last date for submission of abstract is Nov 10 2016.

Soft copy of the abstract must be sent on the following email address only

Selection/rejection of the abstract will be notified to the author by Nov 15, 2016

The maximum word limit for writing an abstract is 300 words (excluding references) in Times New Roman font with single line spacing.

Only selected abstracts will be invited to submit the fulllength paper for conference.

Acceptance of abstract implies that at least one of the authors will attend the conference and present the paper.

Please note that authors who do not register for the conference will not be allowed for paper presentation during the conference.

Abstracts of the authors not adhering to the guidelines will be rejected.

Certificate will be issued for the registered authors and co-authors.

Abstract should be divided into various headings as given below. However, the given headings are merely indicative. Authors can choose any suitable headings of their choice depending upon the nature of paper.
