​Filling up of two (2) posts oI Lega-l officer (Grade-I) in Level L2 ofPay Matrix [Pre revised cp Rs:26;00) ott aip,tratiott basil in the Legal and Treaties Division of the Ministry of External Affairs’


Division of the Ministry on’deputition basis for a period of two years initially from amongst officers from the Centril Government holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the Parent i”a.. o. Department; or officers from the Central Government with five years’ regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in PB-3, Rs’ 15600-39100 plus

Grad”e pay of Rs. 6600 or equivalent in the Parent cadre or Department; and possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:-

Educational Qualification: –

a) Essential:-

i) Masters’ degree in Law with specialisation in the field of International Law and/ or international Relati,ons or International Organisations from a recognised University’iD L0 years’ experienc ninimum educational qualification in Legal Affairs,namely, Legal Practitioner; ; teaching or conducting or guiding reseaich in International L Sanizations’iiil candidates having specialization in Inter in M.phil or Ph.D level, but not at Maste.r’s level will alsobe eligible.

b) Desirable: Certificate course (at least 5 months duration) in one or two foreign languagesother than English.

For Armed Forces Personnel:

Deputation/ Re-employment (for ex-servicemen)

The Armed Forces Personnel ofthe rank ofAct. Brigadier and Lt. Col. and also the officers ofequivalent ranks in Navy and Air Force who are du within a period of one year and having the requisitshall also be considered. Such persons would be givethey are due for release from the Armed Forces;”rnptoyln”nt. 

In case such eligible officers have retired or have been transferred to reserve beforeand actual selection to the po*st is made their a rpointment will be on Re-employment basis’ [Re-employment up to the age of superannuation with reference to civil posts)

2. The period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediateiy preceding this appointment in the same or some other 0rganisation or Departmentof the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 4 years. The maximum age limit forappointment by deputation shall not be exieeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

4. Pay of the selected officers shall be fixed in the scale of the post in accordance with rules prescribed bY the Government.

5. The following papers/document may also please be sent along with nomination:-

i. statement of Bio-data in the prescribed proforma (as per Annexure) in duplicate duly signed and forwarded through proper channel’

ii. Attested copies of the CR dossiers for the last five years (attested on each page) by an Officer not below the rank of Under Secretary

iii. Vigilance Clearance Certificate

iv. Integrity Certificate

v. A statement of major / minor penalty, if any, imposed on the officer during the last 10 years.

vi. Cadre Clearance Certificate.
