The African Youth SDGs Summit is being convened by Youth Advocates Ghana (YAG) and AKO Foundation and several partner organizations.
African Youth SDGs Summit is a forum for African Youth to discuss sustainable development and emerging innovations on the African continent. The annual event will identify and showcase youth-led sustainable development initiatives and to create a community of purpose to co-generate ideas whiles exchanging knowledge, best practices and innovative solutions to achieving Agenda 2030 and Agenda2063
Our vision is to identify and showcase youth-driven Sustainable Development initiatives across Africa. The annual and country rotational summit is aimed at elevating the African youth voices and to create a community of purpose to trade knowledge, co-generate ideas and share innovative solutions towards achieving the Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2063. Over the 15 years of the SDGs implementation, we shall identify the most impactful ideas that can be adapted in different contexts and scaled up. The two day summit would assemble more than 250 youth from Africa and other parts of the world to discuss ways to contribute to ending poverty, unemployment, conflict and combat climate change.
- To identify and showcase Youth led and resourced initiatives(innovations) in the implementation of the Agenda 2030 and 2063
- To create a community of practice where African Youth can share, discuss and exchange ideas on their own initiatives and to foster knowledge sharing and peer mentoring
- To advocate for African Governments to invest and fund youth development initiatives
- Network with field leaders, policy makers, expert advisers, to discuss the way forward to support innovative solutions for attaining the SDGs by 2030 and achieving sustainable development in Africa.
Visa And Airport Transfer
The conference secretariat will assist delegates with obtaining visa to Ghana. Delegates who need assistance with obtaining a visa should submit their request to the conference secretariat as soon as they pay their registration fee.
