Sub: Invitation for contributions on the theme “Alternative Dispute Resolution systems”

Respected Sir/Madam,

V.M Salgaocar College of Law, which is imparting quality legal education for over four decades in the State of Goa, is pleased to announce that it has its own annual peer –reviewed publication  with ISSN, titled ‘Salgaocar Law Review’. The Journal will be published in the month of December, 2017.

The purpose of the publication is to encourage high quality legal research and intellectual debate on a broad spectrum of contemporary legal issues and challenges.  

This year the College intends to bring out a special issue on ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution systems’. The College intends to focus on THREE ADR processes viz. (Negotiation, Mediation and Conciliation)

(i) Skills of ADRs

(ii) Ethics of ADRs

(iii) Process of ADRs

(iv) Concept of ADRs

(v) Area-specific ADRs (such as Family, Work -Place, Deal)

(vi) Laws on ADRs( National, International, Foreign)

We invite you to contribute to the above theme in the form of essays, case comments, notes, book reviews lecture transcripts and Articles. Abstract to be submitted by 15th September , 2017. Authors are expected to submit completed Article by 30th September, 2017. Kindly email your paper to:

THREE ADR  processes viz. (Negotiation,  Mediation and Conciliation).’

GUIDELINES FOR CONTRIBUTORS

1. Word limit: 

The word limit for essays is between 3,000 to 5,000 words. Case comments and book `reviews between 2,000 to 4,000 words and lecture transcripts should not exceed 6,000 words.

2. Citation: 

The citation format to be used from The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation, Harvard Law Review (19th Edition).
3. Abstract:

An   abstract of maximum 300 words, with key words, is required to be submitted along with the article.

4. Method of submission:

All submissions should be sent only in MS word (Text- double-space,12 Font, Times New Roman) as attachments. One –inch margins should be left on both sides of the text and at the top and bottom.

5. Covering Letter:

All submissions in electronic copies must bear a covering letter mentioning the title of the article, name of the author, designation, address, contact number/email address.  To ensure anonymity in reviewing the papers, the name of the author, co-author, designation, address, contact number, e-mail, and title of the paper should appear only on the covering page of the paper. 

The Covering Letter should contain a declaration that the work is original, unpublished and has not been sent for publication anywhere else.
6. Procedure for submission:

All communications must be made in electronic form and e-mailed to:

7. Review and Intimation :

All manuscripts will be screened by a peer team of subject experts. 

Recommendation of the Peer Team regarding the publication/suggestions for change /rejection of the article will be communicated to the contributors before 15th  October, 2017. 
8. Last date for submission: 

All articles, case comments, book reviews and lecture transcripts should reach the Editorial Board latest by 

Abstract – 15th  September, 2017

Completed Paper – 30th September, 2017.
