Students for Promotion of International Law (SPIL), Mumbai will be organizing The 4th Government Law College Mumbai – Judgment Deliberation Competition, 2018 to be held on the 20th and 21st of October, 2018.
The Judgment Deliberation Competition (JDC) was conceived within the portals of our hallowed institution Government Law College, nine years ago, originally as a part of SPIL, Mumbai’s annual flagship event – The International Law Summit. Our associations with premier institutions such as the International Law Students Association (ILSA), Washington D.C. and the Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi, have only added to our credentials.
The JDC essentially expects participants to arrive at a judgment, after analysis of facts and arguments presented from both the sides.
The structure of the JDC is as follows:
1. The Judgment Presentation Round: Participants will be required to present their judgments.
2. The Commenting Round: Participants are encouraged to make pertinent observations on the points made by their colleagues.
3. The Conclusion Round: Participants are allowed an opportunity to summarize and make concluding statements.
The Awards for the competition shall include:
A ‘Best Team’ Award : INR 3,000 /- ;
