Yes! You heard that right.
A study conducted by price comparison site Confused.com has proved that women are better drivers than men. The study was conducted to determine which sex was the better driver by analysing statistics on insurance, crime rates and driving test results.
Findings indicated that women are less likely to be involved in a car accident than men which in turn, means they cost insurers less when they make a claim. In fact, female drivers foot an average of £92 less than men for their insurance over the course of a year.
Further data also suggests that female drivers commit less offences while on the road. For instance, 23% of all offences committed back in 2017 were men caught speeding whereas only 7% of women were found guilty of the crime.Overall, men made up 79% of UK drivers who were taken to court for breaking the law while driving back in 2017.
But there is a reason why women are the superior sex on the road, as the study also reveals that it takes longer for female drivers to get their driving licence.
