It has been long believed that the most important resource that any institution of higher education has is its faculty members who play significant role in helping students to create knowledge and develop values and virtues of life. Teachers inspire learners in acquiring and developing professional competencies and skills including necessary life skills. With the phenomenal advancement of knowledge and fast progressing information and communication technology, teachers need to keep themselves abreast of everyday changes in the dynamic nature of knowledge and paradigm shift in teaching and research. This requires faculty members to have sound knowledge of research in addition to having adequate teaching competencies.
