AIM OF THE COMPETITION
The National Moot Court Competition is an endeavour to offer law students an opportunity to develop skills which are crucial for growing into a successful lawyer and to expose them to the developing frontiers of law which shall help them to develop holistically. With this objective, we are delighted to invite your esteemed institution to the 1st HPNLU National Moot Court Competition scheduled from April 17-19, 2020 at Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Faculty of Law/Law School/Universities are invited to participate in the1st HPNLU National Moot Court Competition, 2020 by registering on or before March 27, 2020. Only one team can register from one institution/college. Members of the team must be undergraduate students, pursing Bachelors of Law Degree (5-year integrated course or 3-year).
Notification of Competition & Release of Moot Proposition : 9th March, 2020
Last date of Registration : 27th March, 2020
Last date for seeking Clarifications : 30th March, 2020
Release of Clarifications : 2nd April, 2020
Last date for submission of soft copies of Memorials : 12th April, 2020
Last date for Submission of Hard Copies of Memorials (1 copy each side) : : April 17, 2020 (05 Copies, at the Registration Desk)
Last Date for mailing Travel Itineraries : 14h April 2020
Inauguration : 17th April 2020
Draw of Lots and Exchange of Memorials : 17th April, 2020
Preliminary and Quarter Rounds : 18th April, 2020
Semi Final & Final Round : 19th April, 2020
Valedictory and Prize Distribution : 19th April, 2020

Clarifications to the Moot Proposition shall be sought by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before 30th March, 2020. Clarifications sent after this date shall not be entertained. Clarifications will be sent to the respective teams on their personal mail ID only.
Best Team : Cash Prize of INR 20,000/- (Indian Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) and a trophy
Runners Up : a trophy and a cash prize of INR 15,000/- (Indian Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only).
Best Speaker : a cash prize of INR 5,000/- (Indian Rupees Five Thousand Only).
Best written submission : a cash prize of INR 5,000/- (Indian Rupees Five Thousand Only)
Certificates of merit shall be given to all the teams qualifying for the Advanced Rounds.
Certificate of participation shall be given to all the participating teams.
NOTE : No certificate will be given to the team before or after the valedictory function.
Accommodation and food shall be provided to the participating teams for the duration of the competition.
