ABVP-THINK INDIA meets LAW MINISTER ON CLAT-2015 Controversy

1548126_1031746123503616_7324891780878819783_o

The ABVP-Think India Delegation met Union Law Minister, Sadanand Gowda on 30th June, 2015 to gripe on the conduct on CLAT 2015. The delegation comprised of Veer Vikrant (National Co-Convener, Think India), Saket Bahuguna (State President, ABVP), Kanika Shekhawat (DUSU Secretary), Monica Chaudhary (CLC, Delhi), Yuvraj Vyas (NALSAR, Hyderabad) and Shantanu Shrivastava. The team submitted a report to the Law Minister stating the rows on the conduct of CLAT examination this year and, also in general. Suggestions were also presented to the Law Minister.   Wretchedly, the meeting failed to bear any fruitful result. The delegation tried to meet the BCI chairman but he was unavailable. Think India National Co-convener said that they are planning to file intervention application in pending petitions to the Supreme Court. He is determined to take this battle within and outside the corridors of court. ABVP-Think India is now designing further actions to resolve this issue (conduct of CLAT examination) permanently.

Common Law Admission Test is conducted every year for those willing to seek admission in National Law Universities across the country. This year CLAT was conducted by RMLNLU, Lucknow. The whole process from conducting the examination till the allocation of seats to candidates attracted several controversies. This is not the first time when the conduct and completion of CLAT examination has involved disputes.
